N.A.G. PRESCRIBES HEALTH CHECK TO AILING JEWELLERY INDUSTRY
The National Association of Goldsmiths is prescribing a business health check to ailing jewellers struggling with the credit crunch. It is hoped that the simple business health check, provided in association with Development Initiatives Ltd, will help put companies back on the road to recovery and improved business performance.
“Nobody knows how long the recession will last or how bad it will get,” said Michael Hoare, Chief Executive of the National Association of Goldsmiths “but you can know what makes a healthy business. The first thing a jeweller must do to ensure it comes out of any, and every, business cycle stronger and healthier is to determine its starting point.”
The health check will see if companies should concentrate on operational excellence, clarity of strategic direction, developing people or reducing complacency. The check also includes three months individual telephone support from Development Initiatives’ Mike McGraw and all for just £25 for N.A.G. members and £50 for N.A.G. non-members.
