Meet the Tutors
Michelle McCormick
I have worked for the NAG since 2003 and now tutor for JET1 and 2 as well as the Gemstone course. My first experiences of NAG courses were when, as a teenager, I began working for a family jeweller’s who supported me to take the NAG qualifications. Since then I have also gained trade qualifications that include the Diamond grading diploma and Gemmology diploma.
I currently work as a Manager & Director for Clearwater Diamonds. Joining this new company in 2001, I helped set up a brand new shop. The owners of this company also run a manufacturing business, this is great because we get to design and make many of the items of jewellery that we sell.
I am married to husband James who is now a secondary schoolteacher. We celebrated the birth of our first child, Grace, in 2006.
I know that I will keep learning and the trade will keep changing. This is what makes it such an exciting business to be involved in.
